A late update, but I participated if the
January VHF contest. I was a part of the KW1AM multi-op contest station. I have known Larry (N1ROZ) for many years. It was the first multi-op I participated in and it was a blast. Due to the cold weather, the higher band antennas were not mounted on the towers. We operated 6m/2m/1.25m/70cm. On Sunday morning the 2 meter amp blew up, but it was still a good time. Hopefully for the June contest all the bands will be up and going. I was invited back for June, and I think i will take the journey down to CT again for more good times.
The blog has not been updated in awhile because other than the (semi-)recent contest there has not been too much going on with me and the hobby lately. I will work some 20 meter DX on Saturday morning/afternoons, but other than that the hobby has been slowish. Once it gets warmer again I plan on putting up some new antennas and perhaps get a bit more active.
Stay warm, dry and safe.
